This dress is really good quality for the price - I was surprised by that. It's pretty light-weight for a dress covered in sequins and beads. I read other comments saying they don't like that it's not form-fitting, but that was simply the style of the 20s, so it just makes it more authentic! I bought it for a NYE party, but the only thing I'm not happy with is that it's loose-fitting at the bust and kind of sticks out. You can see from the photo I posted that it just sort of hangs there. I bought a size small, but sometimes I'm a medium and I'm about a C cup, so I didn't think this would be an issue. Other than that, this dress is great.

I LOVE this dress! It was so easy to buy and receive this dress, postage was so quick, it arrived 2 weeks after purchase and the fit is perfect! The sizes are very generous and the sizing chart does not take into consideration the stretch of the fabric, I probably could have gone down a size to be honest. The dress itself is beautifully made, it feels heavy with beading front and back and just feels like good quality. Very comfortable to wear and the price was amazing!! This is a very forgiving dress. I love it This dress is gorgeous but after purchasing I had a little bit of buyer's remorse. I kept looking at the picture and thinking - "You forgot that you are short and fat. This dress is going to look awful on you."Joke's on me. I may still be short and fat but the dress makes me look AWESOME. I'm 5'3" and currently about 230 pounds but the dress has some stretch and hugs all my curves. I was worried that the dress would actually be too long but when I stand in my bare feet it just touches the ground and doesn't puddle all up.

Formal night First let me say I absolutely love this dress. It's gorgeous. Bought it for an upcoming cruise and can't wait to play dress up. Ordered Jan 11th, rcvd Jan 19th.Now for some details. I typically wear an 10 more so 12. Chest 40D I ordered the XXL as they suggested. The dress fits wonderfully. I don't even have to unzip it to put it on. It slides right down. It does take a minute to shimmy the slip down, then adjust the layer on top of that, then adjust the beaded part as that slips right over the bum. The dress is sheer so I added a slip so I didn't feel so naked. The armpits of the dress are perfect as there's no hanging or bunching material (I hate that drooping look). The chest area although it's stretchy material I felt like the girls are packed in. Not uncomfortably packed, just in there firmly.The length, I'm 5'4 and it just touches the floor. I put on 1inch heels just to see how it looked and again perfect. Flats could work but with such an elegant dress you need a shoe that dazzles it even more. (I'm sure 3inch heels would be better but not for this girl lol)The detail is incredible. All the beads, and the time they put into the dress is amazing. I did have one bead fall already but I expected that to happen as I was twirling like a little princess in my dress.So what's the down side. As far as I can tell for me just one. It has to do with all the beads. I noticed my arms rubbing up against them. I'm thinking my arms may start to get irritated. Its rough almost like scratching. So I've decided I will just keep my arms posed to my hips all nite. lol. Hope this little review helps.

Gorgeous after some minor sewing adjustment! This dress is gorgeous in person! I wore it as a bridesmaid. The only reason I'm giving it 4 stars is because it was see-through at the bottom, not at all like the pic, and not as full as the pic either. There was a short visible underskirt under it that only reached my knees, and I was not fond of that at all, it looked weird. I had my grandmother sew a couple layers of pinkish shimmery fabric underneath (white fabric showed too bright under there). The dress's zipper was also really finicky like it would break easy when putting it up and down BUT I am well endowed in the posterior and this dress lasted all night and did not bust like I felt like it was going to! I am 5'5", 210 lbs and ordered a size 14-16 in Champagne. The length was perfect! I added the pic of what the dress looked like hanging up before I sewed it.

Love it I purchased this dress as a back up for a military ball. It is very high quality, better than I expected for the price. I'm 5'6" and usually wear a 10/12, with 36C bra size. I got the Medium 10/12 in black and gold. It fit great! It's not too long at all, just right with low heels. It's very comfortable and not scratchy at all. The inside isn't really lined, and there are no bra cups sewn in. It's pretty light weight for how many sequins there are. The only thing I don't love about it is, it doesn't give me much shape, it just kind of hangs there. The bottom of the dress is really flow and somewhat see through which I think gives it more elegance. Overall a very nice dress!

Beyond Pleased Dress is FABULOUS! Looks so much more expensive than it actually cost. Will be perfect for the 1920's party I'm going to but could easily wear it to a formal function and fit in perfectly. I looked at the size chart and chose based on the measurements. Fits just right. Not too tight, not too loose. Would recommend to anyone wanting a costume OR formal dress for a special occasion. I especially like the cap sleeves.

Gorgeous, & A Great Buy! This dress is just gorgeous. I was worried about size, because I am a curvy 14-16 depending on fit. I was also worried about the side zipper and ease of getting in and out. None of my worries were founded. The quality of the dress is great. It fits like a glove (enough room for my chest and booty). No problem putting it on or getting it off. It looks much more expensive than it was. I'll be wearing it for a Roaring 20's New Years Eve party, but i may be able to wear it for other fancy events, as it does not look costume-y. However, it was totally gorgeous and I should've probably purchased a medium instead of a large. I ended up giving it to my co-worker to wear since we had a themed party at work. She's thinner than I am and the dress fit her great. I think since I'm a little curvier, the waist looking a little loose just looked awkward as the hip and breast part fit just right. It does have some stretch to it so I could've probably gone with the medium. Nevertheless, great buy and totally worth my co-workers smile since she didn't have an outfit to wear for the party

Lovely dress Its a really nice dress, it looks very cute and 1920s appropriate, but it can absolutely be modernized with the right accessories. I wore it for about 13 hours and it was really comfortable. I ordered blue and black and the beading shows up much better in person than it does in the pictures!

BEAUTIFUL! This dress is beautiful! I bought it for a "Gatsby" party and it was much more than I expected. The bead work and made the dress feel very elegant and was a total time warp as soon as I put it on. I kept getting compliments on the sleeves, as a lot of women at the party were wearing shawls because they couldn't find a dress with sleeves. Curvy girls, this is your Gatsby dress I'm 5'4ish, 148 lbs, and I carry most of my weight in my butt and thighs. 36-28-42. I'm wearing a 6/8 (small).I have to be careful with 20s inspired dresses because they typically don't show off my defined waist, making me look boxier/bigger than I am. That is NOT the case with this one!The body of the dress is a soft, stretchy material. It's slightly short but that's not uncommon for me due to my curvy lower half. its not so short that I'm uncomfortable, especially with the additional layers of skirting that hide my legs.There are two layers of sheer skirting, a long one that skims the floor and a shorter one underneath that. Both are attached to the base of the body of the dress.The beaded mesh overlay is thin and not heavy. It's also attached to the base, but only on the sides as opposed to all the way around. I feel like this gives me a little more breathing room as it allows for movement.It's not too long - the sheer skirt does skim the floor but not excessively. (I did pick up some grass while taking these pictures but, hey, it's a formal dress.) It's also not as heavy as some other ornate dresses I've worn. It feels slightly more delicate and potentially prone to minor snagging, but I don't feel like this would be an issue at most events this would likely be worn at. Overall, this is gorgeous, flattering, and comfortable, and I would absolutely buy it again. I want more colors but have no reason to wear them lol. 5 stars!

it was very comfortable (probably because it was a little big) and the ... I bought the large (usually wear Ann Taylor 12/14) and it was a little loose. I think the 10/12 would have fit a little prettier, but it would have been skintight and uncomfortable, while the 14/16 bunched up in the back just a little bit. Aside from that it very comfortable (probably because it was a little big), the sequins lit up like a disco ball and it looked great. In 3 inch heels it was the perfect length and didn't drag on the floor at all (I'm 5'7"). If you're going to be sitting/leaning up against something for a long period of time, just note that the sequins and beading do dig into your skin and it can get painful. FYI, the bottom is sheer and will show your legs (there is a hokey slip that hits just below the knee and looks awful). I bought a plain black maxi skirt and wore it underneath the dress to hide my legs, which helped with the bit of extra material because you couldn't even tell I was wearing a skirtit looked like part of the dress.It looked far more expensive that it actually is, and I got compliments all night.

I needed a Roaring Twenties costume for a gangster and speakeasy-themed murder mystery party where my character was supposed to be a movie star, and I really wanted something different from the black fringe flapper dress you see everywhere. Made the Night!!! Amazing quality. No one could believe the price. It looks, feels and fits like a very high priced dress. I danced hard for 2 hours straight in this dress and didn't loose a single sequin or fringe! I'm 5' 10", 135 lbs and a 32 D. Great costume! I wore this for a 1920's themed party and won best costume! I was surprised at the quality of the beading and the construction. I gave it 4/5 stars because after the first wear a lot of the fridge either came off or unraveled. It's still wearable, but noteable. I'm 5'4" and wear a size 0-2. The dress ran a little big around the shoulders but still close enough to fit.
